Article 12: The People This last week I had a special event to witness. My wife, Sylvia was sworn in as a citizen of the greatest country on earth, The United States of America! As part of our celebration we visited Walt Disney World. At Epcot Center, Sylvia was asked to march with the "Fife and Drum Corp" in honor of her new citizenship. It was announced to the crowd that she had just become an American. They presented her a document declaring she is now a "Daughter of Liberty" and also a copy of the "Declaration of Independence." We have a great country built on great people and principles. That is the secret to our strength and abilities to overcome obstacles and hardships. Our freedom is not only our power but it is also our guiding light to the future. Our freedom is there because of the hearts and minds of people who love America. That is why I do not fear the Y2K bug. It is because of people. I work with some of the greatest individuals who are an example of this industry and also of this country. Rob, our sales manager who diligently keeps up with the changes in products, future concepts and cyber information and strives to serve our customers. He makes sure that all systems are in total Y2K compliance. Hats off to Joe, who keeps after all the little items that are so often over looked. He is a dynamic individual who constantly searches for that special item that will enhance the life of people. A salute to Dan, the retired military wizard who patently searches for data glitches and system conflicts. He delivers when others have fallen in battle. Brad, the man behind the WEB. , our administrator of www.papadocs.com. He is constantly on call, serving all in the community with his skills, knowledge and capabilities. Your connections function because he is out at all times of the day and night mothering the system. |
A cyber thank you to Dave. He grew up here in the area and graduated with honors. When he tackles a project he continues until all answers are found and the results are excellent. Give cheers for Jason who tackles new computer languages with gusto and enthusiasm. When we tackle the unknown he focuses on it becoming the known and shares his knowledge with the development team. Bob, our senior technician and the man on the front line of issues and answers. He constantly faces the newest trouble spot with poise, graciousness and professionalism. Sing praises for Lori, our office manager. She bubbles with enthusiasm and energy on a daily basis. No task is too small or too large to face and to conquer. Humble thanks to Michele and Linda who handle the rush of calls and clients. They receive the questions, give the answers and face the unknown. Dan our senior phone technician, who patently guide and help those with needs. He communicates with skill and his knowledge is superb. A heart felt gratitude to Jim, Hermo, Ian, Josh, Curt and Jesse. This dynamic team of quality people strive for the best. They are constantly improving their knowledge and skills. We have a great country that is made up of great people. It is not the leaders that make us great it is the individual who strive for their best and for the best of others. I work with some of those people who often in the past were laughed at because they were thinkers and productive. They are the heart and soul of the Electronic Village. Sylvia, welcome to your new nation, your home. Admire the people around you and gather strength from their examples. You are now a part of greatness as a citizen of The United States of America. |
